Welcome Back to the Berner Briefs!
After a long and well-deserved hiatus, the Berner Briefs are
back!
We hope that you enjoy receiving news about the goings-on of
the Heartland Bernese Mountain Dog Club and its members. Please feel free to contact the newsletter
editor, Jessica Briggle, with any feedback or ideas about the Berner Brief’s
content. We need such things as general
information articles, brags about show wins or new titles, etc.
In the interest of saving monies, the new Berner Briefs will
only be sent electronically (via email).
We may be able to add the Berner Briefs in “hard copy” for those members
without email addresses in the near future.
Hopefully this will mark the beginning of a more open forum
for the HBMDC members. We look forward
to a fruitful future!

Mark your calendar for the HBMDC Draft Match on Sunday,
September 13:
The HBMDC will
be holding a draft match for those individuals interested in testing their
draft skills in preparations for the upcoming fall draft tests in the Midwest.

Judge: Dr. Kathy Berge
Fee: $15.00 per
entry, entries are limited and preference is given to
Bernese
Mountain Dogs. A lottery will be held
if our entry limit
is
exceeded.

8:00 a.m.
Check-in, walk-through and general directions

Judging begins
There will be a break along the way at the
judge’s discretion.
Lunch: It has been proposed that we hold a potluck
lunch, subject to change. The HBMDC
will provide the beverages. Members and
entrants are asked to bring a covered dish and table service.
The draft match is
being held the same weekend as the Cedar Rapids Kennel Club dog show. Come and join us for a fun weekend of
conformation and drafting! Show

on site for pet photos. More

A general club
meeting will follow the draft match on Sunday, September 3, 2006. All Heartland Bernese Mountain Dog Club
members are encouraged and invited to attend.
